How do I add fertiliser breakdown data?
Adding fertiliser breakdowns for arable and permanent grassland systems will improve the accuracy of your footprint.
Providing your fertiliser breakdowns is an essential part on your Sandy setup journey.
Correctly mapping your products form of fertiliser, N/P/K value and further breakdown information will ensure your fertiliser associated emissions are correct and accurate. Fertiliser is generally the largest emission source in arable enterprises.
Step 1
-
Navigate to Sandy Setup
-
Scroll down to and select Activate Services
Step 2
-
Head into the module you’re working in (for fertiliser this will be either Carbon or Water Protection)
-
Next, ensuring you're in the Arable tab, scroll to the Input section, and click Manage data
-
You'll be presented with two options: Manufactured fertiliser and Organic fertiliser. Click Manage data on the option relevant to your enterprise.
Step 3
-
You’ll see the products linked to each year
-
Click the edit pen icon on the right for each individual product
Step 4
-
Provide the Required data as a minimum in the data window
-
Provide further Encouraged data to increase your accuracy
-
If your fertiliser is a liquid fertiliser, you must provide the product Density for your N rate to be accurately calculated
-
Once you’ve completed and provided as much information as you can, click Save
Step 5
-
Work your way through each product and each year until you have completed all
-
If you have used a product in multiple years, the breakdowns will populate across other years
-
Repeat Steps 3 & 4 within the Input: Organic fertiliser section too
-
If you do not have breakdowns for your organic fertiliser, Sandy populates with industry averages depending on the form of fertiliser you have selected
