How do I find my way around Sandy?

Sandy’s home screen provides a range of farm data and insights. This will develop as you input more data and complete the “Sandy Setup” process. You can select the fields you view this data for in the “Select Field” menu (1).

If you have multiple farms set up in your account, you can select one of the farms to view the corresponding data for, in the “Farm” menu (2). Sandy also allows you to view past weather data for the selected location too, by clicking on “Compare with past weather” (3).

Each feature of Sandy can be accessed via the main menu on the left-hand side of the screen (4). To expand the menu choices for the feature you would like to access, click on the small arrow on the right-hand side of each item. To hide the main menu you can click on “Auto hide” icon (5). To view the menu again, just click this icon again.

If at any point within Sandy you need help, would like to request a feature, or offer feedback, then please click on the green help icon in the bottom right corner of the screen (6).

Sandy Utilities and Setup

To access the “Sandy Setup” process, click on Utilities, then Sandy Setup. This will take you to the Sandy Setup menu where you can complete the account setup and onboarding process.

You will need to complete this process before you can access any reporting or analysis in Sandy. This is covered in further instruction documents.

Reporting and analysis

Once you have completed the “Sandy Setup” process and entered sufficient data, you can access a range of reporting and analysis via the main menu in Sandy. Click on the arrow next to the feature you would like to access, to expand the menu options.

Clicking on your chosen feature will take you to that section of Sandy. Detailed instructions for running a carbon calculator report, biodiversity report and water protection report are provided in separate instruction documents.
